Update: it appears that the game doesn't work with Opera Mobile, probably because of the way touch events are managed. If you know a solution to the problem, please contact me, so I can fix it.
Though the game has been available for two weeks now, I would like to make and official announcement about Fruit Killer mobile.
As I said in my previous blog post, I have been working on a mobile version for Fruit Killer, my HTML5 version of Fruit Ninja. The game is compatible with both Android and iOS devices, though there may be some slight differences.
To play the game, all you have to do is to load the usual web page, and you will automatically be redirected to http://m.fruit.remvst.com/ (if you're using a mobile device, of course). For those interested, mobile detection was made with this PHP class.
If you're using an iPhone, you may want to play the game any time you want. You can access the game easily by adding it to your home screen. This will also increase the screen size, which should give you a better gaming experience. Though it is not possible to do that with an Android device, I may also make a native app, probably using PhoneGap.
As it is still powered by HTML5, playing on larger devices may be laggy, since the canvas is always resized to fit the screen.
There are not many differences between this version and the regular one. Most of the optimizations were about removing effects, and cleaning the code. Also, since the gameplay is slightly different from the desktop version, I didn't enable the leaderboards. That may change in the future.
